Parish Finance

The funding of the parish takes place through the generosity of parishioners who support the parish through the weekly collection envelope. The income received is used to pay the various costs involved in running the parish – such as insurance, ESB, maintenance, church supplies etc. On rare occasions it may be necessary to use some of this income to support the clergy where the specific collections for the support of the priest have not raised enough funds.

Financial Support of the priest

The Stipend for the priest is raised through the year’s six special collections which take place at Christmas, the Spring and Autumn, Easter, Pentecost, and November.

Parish Accounts

Parish Accounts are published each year and are also available on request for the preceding year from the parish at any time.

Sources of Income

  • The Weekly Family Offering
  • Offerings for candles at the church Shrines
  • Donations and Bequests
  • Standing orders
  • Special Collections for the support of the Clergy
